24/7 PRAYER
As we begin 2025, we are setting aside 21 days as a church to start the year off with prayer. With so many things competing for our time and attention, we intentionally pause twice yearly to devote ourselves to prayer—seeking God and waiting on Him. Instead of doing everything else first, we choose to pray.
You can participate with us in several ways during these 21 days. First, fill out a prayer card at your campus to let us know how we can pray for you. Then, starting January 5th, pick up a Pray First Journal at your campus (or access it digitally below) and work through each day’s content on your own. Lastly, join us in a 24/7 prayer movement.
This year, as one church in many locations, we are committing to unceasing 24/7 prayer for the entire 21 days of Pray First. Imagine what might happen if we joined our voices together as a church body in Austin, along with all those in our online community, and sought God together—for each other and the world! Join us in this bold step of faith and be a part of this prayer movement from wherever you are.
WHAT WE'RE ASKING:
1. SEEK GOD
about how He wants you to engage in this 24/7 prayer movement.
- Allow this to stretch you spiritually.
- It’s ok if it feels uncomfortable or challenging.
2. SIGN UP
for a 30-minute (or more) time slot.
- You can do this once during the 21 days, multiple times, or daily.
- Use the daily prompts to help guide your time
3. INVITE OTHERS
to join you during your prayer slot.
- This can include small groups, friends, coworkers, roommates, or family members
- Pray from any location (home, car, work, outdoors) and connect with others via phone, video call, or in-person meetups
4. THE JOURNAL
Use the Journal as your guide.
- Pray First journals will be given out at your campus starting January 5th.
- You can download the journal, or follow along in our app.
We are so excited to see how we will change as individuals and as a church as we seek God FIRST and join arms to pray 24/7 for 21 days!
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
NEED PRAYER?
Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. James 5:13-15
We all need prayer. It is powerful.
